Spectra Galaxy JA 256/50 AAA Printhead

The Spectra Galaxy JA 256/50 AAA Printhead is a high-performance, compact inkjet jetting assembly designed for industrial and commercial printing applications requiring multiple printheads packed tightly together. It features 256 individually addressable nozzles arranged in a single line with a nozzle spacing of 0.010 inches (254 microns), enabling resolutions up to 600 dpi. The calibrated drop size is 50 picoliters with an adjustable range of 45-55 picoliters, offering excellent jet straightness and channel-to-channel uniformity.

This printhead operates using piezoelectric technology with four electrically independent slices, each containing 64 channels. It supports continuous operation at frequencies up to 20 kHz, and it can handle fluids with viscosities from 8 to 20 centipoise, including organic solvents, UV curables, and aqueous fluids. The assembly is designed for long service life and can operate at temperatures up to 90°C (194°F) with dual-ported fluid interfaces for easy flushing.

The Galaxy JA 256/50 AAA is widely used in wide format graphics, textiles, addressing, and packaging printing. It offers flexible mounting options and serial-to-parallel data conversion for efficient image data handling.
