Description

Xaar 1003 GS40C is a high-drop-volume industrial printhead aimed at UV/oil applications, especially high-build spot varnish, textured effects, and other special-effects printing. It has 1000 active nozzles, a 70.5 mm swathe width, and supports 40 to 160 pL drop volume, which makes it the largest-drop option in the Xaar 1003 family.

Customers quick take

If your priority is maximum laydown, texture, or strong visual effects, GS40C is a strong fit. If you need fine detail, text, or smaller dots, GS6/GS12 are usually better choices.

Decision guidance

Choose GS40C if you need:

  •     Thick ink laydown.
  •     Strong texture or special effects.
  •     UV/oil workflows.
  •     Less concern about fine detail.

Choose a different version if you need:

  •     Better fine detail or sharper text.
  •     More grey levels.
  •     More flexible solvent ink support.

Purchase check

Before buying, confirm:

  •     Your printer is configured for GS40Ccompatibility.
  •     Your intended ink is UV or oil-based.
  •     Your application really needs 40 to 160 pL drops rather than smaller drops.
  •     You have the correct waveform, voltage, and integration support from the printer maker or authorized distributor
