The Xaar Irix Core 80W Printhead (XP12800073) is a purple-insulator printhead built for oil, solvent, and water-based inks. It replaces discontinued older models like XP12800005 and XP12800006 without needing printer software changes.

Important Notice
To prevent costly buyer return requests, it is critical to explicitly state what this head does NOT fit:
Do not buy this Xaar Irix Core 80W if you own any of the machines listed below. It looks identical on the outside, but the internal electronics are totally different and will not work.
Incompatible Drop Sizes (40 pL Systems): It does not replace the 40 pL (picoliter) variants like the Xaar 128/40W or Xaar 128/40L (Part numbers: XP12800007, XP12800009, or XP12800074). It will cause severe print defects if installed in a printer calibrated for 40 pL heads.
Incompatible Nozzle Plates (Light-Grey/Blue Insulator Systems): It is not a direct substitute for the "L" version heads like the Xaar 128/80L (which feature light-grey or blue insulators instead of the purple insulator). They use different wetting properties on the nozzle plate.
UV Ink Printers: This printhead is explicitly rated for solvent, oil, and water-based inks. It does not fit or work with heavy UV-curable ink setups.
Other Xaar Series: It does not fit printers that use Xaar 126, Xaar 500, Xaar Proton, or Xaar 1001/1002/1003 series printheads.

Handling: Do not open the printhead package until you are ready to install. Avoid touching the nozzle plate or electrical contacts. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Returns
Return Window: Returns accepted within 14 / 30 days of delivery.
Condition for Return: Item must be unused, unopened, and in original factory-sealed packaging. Once the printhead packaging is opened or the head is installed, it cannot be returned unless it is proven to be dead on arrival (DOA) and not damaged by improper handling or installation.
Return Shipping: Buyer pays return shipping unless the item is not as described or is DOA and confirmed by us.
Refund: Refund issued for the item price once the returned item is received and inspected. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Please contact us before initiating a return so we can provide instructions and, if applicable, an RMA number.
Warranty
Seller Warranty: This item is sold as new, factory sealed. We do not provide an additional seller warranty beyond the return policy described above.
Manufacturer Warranty: Any manufacturer warranty is subject to Xaar’s policies and may require proof of purchase from an authorized distributor. We are an authorized Xaar Distributor - please message us if you have specific warranty questions.
DOA Policy: If the printhead is confirmed dead on arrival (no electrical shorts caused by the user, proper installation, and compatible electronics), we will replace or refund according to our return policy. Damage caused by incorrect installation, incompatible electronics, wrong ink, static discharge, or physical damage is not covered.
