DOES NOT FIT Water-Based / Aqueous Systems:
The internal architecture and seals of the "U" series are specifically designed for UV and oil. Passing water-based inks or specialized textile inks through this head will permanently ruin the internal mechanics.
DOES NOT DIRECTLY REPLACE "C" Suffix Variant Systems (Without Re-calibration):
If your existing failed printhead reads Xaar 1003 GS40C (where "C" stands for Ceramics/Solvent), do not buy this "U" variant unless a certified field engineer has cleared your ink chemistry, plumbing, and waveforms for a UV/Oil conversion.
DOES NOT REPLACE Small Drop-Size Applications (GS6 or GS12):
If your system uses GS6 (6–42 pL) or GS12 (12–84 pL) printheads for high-definition fine text, barcodes, or detailed images, this GS40 head will not work.
The GS40 shoots massive 40–160 pL droplets. Installing it in a slot configured for a GS6 or GS12 will result in heavily flooded, blurry text, or immediate structural overflow.
DOES NOT FIT Non-1000 Series Xaar Systems:
This printhead will not fit printers built around traditional, non-recirculating Xaar models like the legacy Xaar 128, Xaar 500, or Xaar 382. It is purely designed for the Xaar 1001, 1002, and 1003 continuous flow (TF Technology™) footprints.

Returns

Condition for Return: Item must be unused, unopened, and in original factory-sealed packaging. Once the printhead packaging is opened or the head is installed, it cannot be returned unless it is proven to be dead on arrival (DOA) and not damaged by improper handling or installation.
Return Shipping: Buyer pays return shipping unless the item is not as described or is DOA and confirmed by us.
Refund: Refund issued for the item price once the returned item is received and inspected. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Warranty

DOA Policy: If the printhead is confirmed dead on arrival (no electrical shorts caused by the user, proper installation, and compatible electronics), we will replace or refund according to our return policy. Damage caused by incorrect installation, incompatible electronics, wrong ink, static discharge, or physical damage is not covered.
